{Our architect recommended against hiring a construction manager saying we didn’t need it for “such a small project” (single family home renovation). Some time later, when we found ourselves almost a million dollars over our original budget, I called Richard again. If only we had him on board from the beginning, we would have realized that the budget was significantly underestimated and we could have changed course before the architectural plans were finalized.
